Meet all our DJs, a varied runch bringing you old and new Rock, Blues and Metal. Times are UK Times (BST/GMT)

Cakeshoes aka Liz Anderson
I grew up in the early ’60s when the music landscape was rife with variety. At home, it was the light programme and Alan Freeman and from my sister’s bedrooms it was The Who and The Moody Blues. I progressed, in my late teens, from pop to rock in the space of an afternoon. I bunked off school to listen to ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and since then my enthusiasm has not waned for a wide variety of music. I never say I don’t like anything until I give it a good listen but as my show goes back in time I am getting the chance to relive my music childhood. I grew up in the South but matured in the North and yes I do knit, crochet, and cook. However, I have gigged about a bit and if you need a Triumph T140v looking, well I am your girl

From listening to his Dad’s Jimi Hendrix, Cream & Roxy Music LP’s at an early age and to his discovery of The Who & Judas Priest before the age of 10, Rock Music has always been an integral part of Paul’s life. Appreciating many genres of music, but it’s Rock that defines him. Paul has a passion for Groove Soaked Feel Good Rock ‘n’ Roll! He also has a passion for Jack Daniels so if you hear him slurring on air, please remember it’s purely medicinal!

The HRH Metal Show – Friday 7pm
Beth Charlesworth
Following a childhood in which all cultural input suffered strict parental censorship, Beth went on a haphazard search for music she liked. Investigating up and down the chain of influence opened up the worlds of prog, power metal, and even some modern bands. What unites all these disparate branches of rock? Beth figured out the answer a few years ago when the existing rock stations weren’t offering enough of what she enjoyed. What was missing was riffs that stayed in her head ad infinitum, solos that made her reach for the air guitar and soaring vocal lines she loved belting out. In short, the kind of songs that make you say: “Tune!”. Whether heavy or gentle, time-honoured or brand new, Beth brings you rock music with melody front and centre where it belongs.
Tune! – Tuesdays at 9pm

Alex Clarke
Based in Nottinghamshire but born and bred in Derby, Alex was brought up on classic rock and glam metal. This foundation in over-the-top aggressive rock obviously rubbed off on his impressionable and young mind. As he got older, Alex discovered NWOBHM and thrash, and realized he wanted to find bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden but, you know….faster. That’s when Alex was lucky enough to be handed a copy of Hammerfall: Chapter V and everything clicked into place! Since then he has been on a journey to find music with the most over-the-top lyrics, catchy melodies, and Neo-Classical speed. Having managed a popular local band and also co-owned and operated a band rehearsal room, Alex has a true appreciation of live music and showmanship. In his spare time, Alex loves to learn the history of bands and the genre and is also a part-time VoiceOver artist as well as a writer.
Steel Symphony – Friday 5pm
Ian Crawford
Cooking and music are Ian’s two big passions and he is very lucky to be able to cook for a living and DJ as a side line. Like recipes, music is a blend of different ingredients and it’s all about how you mix them together. Ian has a wide range of musical taste and he chooses tracks from varying genres to entertain.

The Mega Mint New Music Show – Saturday 6pm
Effjerby
Effjerby was born at a very young age, but was lured into radio rather early in life, where he started as so many do in his local hospital radio station, serving mostly as a presenter and a technical type. Since then, he has worked in three other FM radio stations in the same vein except for the last one, where he worked for 8 years but didn’t present any shows until the latter half as he had no interest. In his professional life he was an IT engineer but for the sake of his sanity (and his hairline), he retired from the profession some years ago. This did not stop him from using his skills in local radio, rather they had to poke him with pointed sticks and give him fresh tea to calm him down. In his personal life, he makes use of the other side of his brain by indulging in the creation of poetry, art, music, and other stuff which restored his hairline.
Whole Lotta Rock Tuesday 3 pm

Roger Fauske
Roger Fauske has been presenting rock shows for the last 12 years. Music comes mainly from Finland, Iceland, Sweden, and Norway, with the Danes and Faroe Islanders making occasional appearances, and as well as the sounds, there are interviews, occasionally even sensible ones. As well as the outstanding music, you also get to hear occasionally comical attempts to pronounce Finnish words. The show goes out monthly these days due to its presenter spending most of his time getting to grips with the world of Quantum and Astrophysics (which ironically make the Finnish words seem relatively straightforward).
Monday Night Takeover – ‘Heavy Rock Rapture’
21:00 GMT
Foxz
Born in the Stoke on Trent and raised on a diet of good music and great times, Foxz was lucky enough to be exposed to a wide section of music and genres at a young age from psychedelia to punk, mainstream to metal. Foxz been DJing rock, metal and alternative music for over 25 years not only in his home town but nationally and abroad. Through playing Clubs, Radio, Rallies and Festivals Foxz been fortunate enough to meet and work alongside some great artists both unsigned and major players. One of the many highlights of his career was opening for and introducing Clawfinger on their Zeros & Heroes UK tour.

GlamRat
She may be small, but she IS fierce! Forever the outsider and bullied throughout her teens by the so-called High School Elite, she found her solace in music, especially Bon Jovi. GlamRat’s love for 80s rock started at 14 and as time rolled on, all different genres of rock fell into her ears. After feeling lost for most of her 20s, she finally found her calling at 27 and is shaping her future. GlamRat adores music and fashion, and loves the glam of it all! GlamRat is born from a school yard insult “you dirty/cheap/trash rat” and she tries to be glam so GlamRat became a thing. She is chasing jer dreams instead of letting them fester. She’s just a small town girl with a not so rock and roll life, but darn it she’s trying!
The HRH AOR Show Tuesday 1pm
Greyfox Growl
The name was given by a friend in Colorado when Greyfox lived there for a while. His friend said that he sounded like a Greyfox Growling when he sang, so he kept it! Greyfox’s love for Southern Rock goes way back to the 70’s when he first saw Black Oak Arkansas singing Go Jim Dandy with the amazing Ruby Star on backing vocals, and then came The Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ozark Mountain Daredevils and of course lately among many Cadillac Three, Blackberry Smoke, and The Sam Morrison Band. Southern Rock means a great deal to Greyfox and he is very happy to be able to play the music he loves on Hard Rock Hell Radio, Peace and Love.
Enjoy the show…HELL YEAH.
HRH Crows Wednesday 12 noon

Genetically an East-ender, born in Fulham, brought up in West London and lived in Colchester for 30 years. Phil’s musical tastes are anchored in the ‘70s with bands like Pink Floyd, YES, Jethro Tull, Cream, Jimi Hendrix Experience and The Rolling Stones. He then fell off the wagon for a while and found disco and jointly ran a mobile operation working as a house DJ for a number of clubs. Phil has now grown up and my musical taste has returned to rock and blues produced over the last 40 years!

Robbie Johns
Like you, Robbie loves his music and especially admires searching for and finding new bands. He got into radio mainly to have an outlet to express his love for music and his wanting to share it. There is nothing better than unearthing a hidden gem of a new band. Robbie loves all genres of music and listens to anything, especially rock and metal (hence the show!). One day he would love to interview Joan Jett, Dave Grohl, Lzzy Hale, Amy Lee, and Shirley Manson, amongst others who have been influential on his music tastes.
Rock Lobster Show – 5pm Monday

Scott Knowles
Scott’s passion for music started as a kid, he was always making voice tapes and pretend radio shows, lasting for almost 20 years. Scott played guitar in the popular UK metal band I.C.O.N, touring the world and meeting lots of incredible musicians and rock fans. Geoff Leppard
Birmingham-based DJ and blogger with a lifelong addiction to music. Raised on a diet of Floyd and Zep, and a will to share everything he hears with friends. He’s always looking to find something new and original. Geoff’s blog has allowed him the chance to do exactly that. He tries to see as many bands as he can and he’s not averse to trying something different; the weird, the strange and the challenging. Geoff wants people to react and gain interest, tell him what you’re hearing, tell him about bands you think he should know, introduce him and help him expand his mind!
Atom Heart Mutha – Friday 1pm

Kev McManus
After a Birmingham childhood spent listening to Slade, Sweet and Suzi Quatro, Kev discovered the new wave of British heavy metal in 1979 and has never strayed from it. A big cricket fan he now lives in Dublin and keenly follows the Irish metal scene.(and Irish cricket). He also likes Prog Rock and Prog Metal and hopes that one day Dream Theater will release an album of Genesis covers!
Lightning to The Nations – Wednesday 2pm
Jon Morter
A rock fan since he stole a load of discarded Bowie/T.Rex/Sabbath/Stones 7” singles from a skip as a kid, Jon is best known for taking on Simon Cowell and The X factor with Rage Against The Machine and WINNING the 2009 Christmas No.1, breaking Guinness Record in the process. He went on to work on releases from Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and was a member of the 2012 UK Christmas No.1, The Justice Collective. Jon has also been an understudy for The Milk Tray Man, appeared on Big Fat Quiz of The Year, wore offensive t-shirts on TV and is a terrible musician (in his own words!).
The Jon Factor – Saturday 9pm

Neil Not
Subjected to Motorhead and AC/DC at the innocent age of 7, feeding a growing need for more exhilarating music. Teen years consisted of exposure to WASP, Zodiac Mindwarp and Twisted Sister and then the discovery at age 14 of the trashiness of Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax which just led to an insatiable appetite for all things fast, noisy and heavy! Got into radio in May 2007 with a local community FM station (winning the Best Music Show award voted by listeners), eventually joining PlanetMosh Radio, then onto TBFM (picking up the Infernal Devastations Fanzine: ‘Best Internet Radio Show award in 2016) and finding a home at Hard Rock Hell Radio since 2017!
Full Metal Racket – Sunday 5pm
Peter Rattray
Pete got into rock music through his brother who took him to my first gig in 1979 – Blue Oyster Cult. He was hooked. Jump forward to 2017 when Pete and a few friends founded the New Wave of Classic Rock Facebook Group to provide a platform for emerging bands to share their music and try and bring it to a wider audience, also to try and convince people to step outside their comfort zone from the more established acts and try some new but familiar! The weekly NWOCR show has become a community and a musical genre in its own right! Rock is on the Rise!
NWOCR Show Tuesday 10pm

Ro
Born in the ‘70s Ro has been influenced by music throughout his life. At the tender age of 10, he was dutifully pumping 10ps into the Jukebox to listen to AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie and Iron Maiden’s Run to The Hills constantly, much to the chagrin of everything else in the Youth Club! Ro then went to his first gig – SAXON! From then all music has been his passion, with metal at its heart. This show has been his fourth child – he hopes that people come to enjoy the show as much as he does making it for them

Robbi got into rock music at an early age listening to Motorhead, Iron Maiden and of course Black Sabbath. He has a huge collection of Black Sabbath memorabilia and Vinyl and you’re guaranteed to have them played on any show I do on the radio. While his roots are firmly in the classic rock genre he has expanded his rock repertoire with the doom and stoner scene over the last 10-15 years often travelling around the world to seek out new bands as well as the more established.

The Roxx Show Thursday 7pm
Independence Rox Tuesday 5pm
Brett Scarrott
Brett grew up in North Oxford, and from a very early age was interested in music, discovering his Aunts copy of The Sweet’s Fox on the run single, and playing it to death. Moving forward he then had a friend who introduced him to Black Sabbath, Hendrix, and that was it, rock music. Buying records from Woolworths, and various other record departments, Brett was listening to anything LOUD. Motorhead came onto the scene, around the time of punk, and although he did like some of the punk music, rock was my number one priority. Gigs, of course, gigs – in 1978, Brett attended Black Sabbath with guests Van Halen – that was loud, couldn’t hear for days! Some of his favourite artists are Saxon, Motorhead, Dumpy’s Rusty Nuts (remember them), and loads of new and exciting bands!
Brett There Be Rock Thursday 1pm

Jezebel Steele
Yorkshire lass born and raised, although nowadays she loves the other side of the Pennines. Jezebel has always loved music, from listening to her Dad’s 8-Track in the car when she was young, to singing death-metal karaoke in her own car. Jezebel rediscovered rock music when she hit her 40s, and shes seen more live bands in the past few years than ever before. Jezebel has been to small festivals and watched unsigned bands bring the house down (and seen bigger bands be slightly less impressive!). Music makes her happy, and it makes her cry too; and that’s what she loves about it – the passion and the emotion that good music stirs up. There’s nothing Jezebel enjoys more than listening to something hard and thrash after a really bad day at work.
Rachel On’t Radio Sunday 12 noon

A big fan of local gigs, Steve believes the music scene is key to keeping what we all love to listen to, alive. Steve started radio when he was 16 at a local hospital radio station, but left due to them not wanting a rock show, so after taking a long break until til around 2009, Steve discovered internet stations, and the rest, as they say, is history!
