AFTER SMOKE CLEARS Drop “Animal” feat. Stephen MacConville + Announce “Intentions” Release Date

South London metalcore heavyweights After Smoke Clears have shared a cutting and emotive brand new single titled “Animal“, featuring Stephen MacConville (Confessions of a Traitor). The single comes alongside a music video directed by bassist Aaron Dohnt, and the release date announcement of their long-awaited sophomore LP, Intentions, out November 19th via self-release.

The eight-track LP, featuring the newly-released “Animal“, as well as recent heavy-hitter “Unintelligent“, containing further vocal features from the likes of Damien Bigara and Jimmy Dahmer, is a rallying cry; a defiant and emotionally potent metalcore romp that yearns to be heard, and firmly cements AFTER SMOKE CLEARS‘ place as the kings of the UK underground.

Whilst valiantly standing as the group’s strongest and most complete work to date, Intentions boldly follows the release of 2023’s The Fear, which received an 8/10 from Metal Hammer, with the publication declaring that After Smoke Clears have redefined the genre with their new EP.” With further acclaim coming from the likes of Distorted Sound, describing The Fear as “nothing less than a victory,” there is an expectation set by After Smoke Clears‘ prior work, that has not only been met by Intentions, but confidently surpassed.

Alongside touring plans for late 2024 and early 2025 in place, to celebrate the album’s launch, the band will be hosting a headline album launch show 229 in London on November 23rd, with support from IridiumSwarmed and Apathy. Tickets are available here, and you can find the poster for the event below.

At the tender age of 10, he was dutifully pumping 10ps into the Jukebox to listen to AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie and Iron Maiden’s Run to The Hills constantly, much to the chagrin of everything else in the Youth Club! Ro then went to his first gig – SAXON! Since then all music has been his passion, with metal at its heart.
