Dreadmask Announce Debut EP, First Single Out Now

Prepare to be consumed by the epic arrival of Dreadmask!

The international death metal band is set to unleash their debut EP, ‘Thy Prime Dread,’ on October 1st. Brace yourself for a sonic onslaught with their first single, ‘Reign Of Fear,’ now dominating YouTube: Watch ‘Reign Of Fear’, and other streaming platforms.

“This is the first single from our debut album, ‘Thy Prime Dread.’ The song addresses coping with a reign of fear and having nothing left to lose. Through a maze of trials, it’s about being free from fear and constraints,” declares the band.

In early 2023, a spark ignited the inferno of Dreadmask. Based in Eindhoven, this melodic death metal force draws power from Greece, Hungary, and The Netherlands.

Driven by a relentless passion for heavy music with meaning, Dreadmask surged onto the scene with explosive energy. After a hiatus from previous bands, John Kourentas, Elger van Delft, and Antonis Mougiakakos formed the band’s core. When Zoltán Herczog joined in the summer of 2023, the lineup was complete.

Dreadmask, a fusion of ‘dread’ and ‘mask,’ captures the essence of fear and concealment. ‘Dread’ evokes the haunting grip of anxiety, while ‘mask’ symbolizes the veils we wear to hide our vulnerabilities. In navigating societal norms, we confront our ‘Prime Dread’—our deepest fears.

Each member of Dreadmask channels their unique influences into a symphony of sound, weaving together Swedish death metal riffs, growling vocals, soaring melodies, progressive metal nuances, and black metal-inspired melancholy.

Join the legion of fans and immerse yourself in the epic journey of Dreadmask. Their reign of fear has only just begun.

Dreadmask is:
John Kourentas: Lead/Rhythm Guitars and Keys
Antonis Mougiakakos: Bass and Lead Vocals
Zoltán Herczog: Rhythm Guitars and Backing Vocals
Elger van Delft: Drums
