Unstoppable Brit Metallers Kick On With New Single And Brand New Ep!

Powerful metal crew, SYPHA, continue to rise as the band release their new single and visualiser video, The Afterparty, on Friday 24th January, culminating in the release of their new EP, Borderland.

Brighton hard-hitters, SYPHA, have their own unique edge and styling. Formed in 2022, the band take from heavyweight heroes such as Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, and Bring Me The Horizon, but also merge the craft and hookability of Blink182, Halestorm, and Marmozets. The band’s base is definitely growing with their debut video, World’s End, notching up over 55,000 views on YouTube alone, and their last video, Limbo, is also on course for similar success. It’s also been on the live scene where the rising riff merchants have shone, with a flourishing fanbase brought about by both a successful series of shows throughout Southern England and also making it to the grand final of Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses.

SYPHA’s new EP, Borderland, includes the superb singles, Dirty Floor, Limbo, and their new track, The Afterparty. Vocalist, Alicia Pilling comments: “The EP’s 3rd and final song is ‘The Afterparty’ and it highlights our evolved and heavy sound. The track incorporates our classic contrast of dark lyrical content with energetic and catchy music. We feel that the song is as huge in the recording as it is live.”

With a series of festival appearances scheduled for this year, including Hammerdown Festival, Breaking Bands, and more, 2025 promises to be monumental for SYPHA.

Born in the ‘70s Ro has been influenced by music throughout his life. At the tender age of 10, he was dutifully pumping 10ps into the Jukebox to listen to AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie and Iron Maiden’s Run to The Hills constantly, much to the chagrin of everything else in the Youth Club! Ro then went to his first gig – SAXON! Since then all music has been his passion, with metal at its heart.
