The third in the season of Sunday lunchtime Live in London events at the Camden Club on 15th March will be a wonderful afternoon of three of Prog favourites; Sweetpool, Gregg McKella from Paradise 9 and Malcolm Galloway from Hat’s Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate. Come and support a fantastic proggy punky spiky spacerock fest, with pre-release copies of the new yellow vinyl Sweetpool album on sale.
SWEETPOOL create a hypnotic melting pot of psychedelic punk and motorik grooves. Powered by a pulsating rhythm section, e-drones, angular agit-pop guitar and bubbling synths, they simply don’t bother to be bothered by anyone else’s rocking conventions. Think Can, Hawkwind, Wire hurled together with a dose of post punk sneer, joyous melodic choruses and live wig outs to melt the ear drums. Krautpunk – Prog Punk – whatever genre they aren’t, it’s a wonderful whirl of excitement and totally addictive snake oil for the masses.
