ABOUT EXORCISM

Blending the ferocity of death metal with the razor-sharp aggression of thrash, EXORCISM is Birmingham’s latest rising star in the extreme metal scene. Formed in the summer of 2023, this young, hungry quartet has rapidly earned a reputation for their blistering sound, explosive live shows, and no-holds-barred approach to metal. Drawing from the relentless energy of classic thrash bands like Slayer and Onslaught, as well as the crushing brutality of death metal pioneers like Death and ObituaryEXORCISM delivers a sound that’s as punishing as it is precise.

The band’s music is a relentless barrage of riffs, blast-beats, and guttural vocals, all layered with a sense of unholy urgency and fury. Their aggressive, yet methodical songwriting gives a nod to the old-school, while incorporating modern death thrash elements that keep their sound fresh and relevant.

EXORCISM are:

Rhythm Guitar – Will Butler

Born in the ‘70s Ro has been influenced by music throughout his life. At the tender age of 10, he was dutifully pumping 10ps into the Jukebox to listen to AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie and Iron Maiden’s Run to The Hills constantly, much to the chagrin of everything else in the Youth Club! Ro then went to his first gig – SAXON! Since then all music has been his passion, with metal at its heart.
