Hello and Welcome to the listen again blog for this week’s O.N.B.B. show. The diversity of the tracks on offer on this week’s show will definitely keep you on your musical toes that’s for sure.
Brummie Rockers Quartz opened up the show today with a track from their aptly named Sixth Studio album SIX. https://www.facebook.com/QuartzBackintheBand For those of you that don’t know, Quartz have been around since 1977, when they changed their name from Bandy Legs to Quartz. Their debut album Was produced by Tony Iommi and Geoff Nicholls was a member of Quartz before joining Black Sabbath in 1979.
As well as talking about rock history we had new music for the show as well and this week the Tee Shirt of the day is from a up and coming band that are a well oiled machine. I See Orange

I see Orange actually played in Swindon on Friday night and I managed to get along and catch them doing their thing. If you get chance then check out their socials and see if you can catch them at a venue near you. definitely worth the money https://www.instagram.com/iseeorangemusic/#

At the same gig on Friday I discovered a band from Cheltenham ( I believe that they are from Cheltenham) that I had Not caught before and was thoroughly blown away by. Their lead singer/guitarist Joe Green did leave an impression. The band in question where Death Is A Girl https://www.instagram.com/deathisagirl87/# and I can’t wait to see them again next time they play near Swindon.
Actually if you are in the Swindon area then keep an eye out as The Swindon Shuffle is back from 10th September 25 and there’s a chance to catch a vast array of bands around the Swindon area. I believe that Death Is A Girl will be making an appearance at one of the venues over that weekend so check the Swindon Shuffle website for further details

As well as local talent this week, we had news that Sonia Leigh is heading to the U.K. for a short run of dates. An Artist that is a blend of styles and genres that you might not imagine at first glance but boy does she deliver. It’s a limited number of dates so check her website for details on getting tickets. https://www.instagram.com/sonialeigh/#
