Goth duo, Nick Fletcher and Tim Emery, otherwise known as Deadlight Dance, performed an acoustic set at The Tuppenny in Swindon on Thursday 19th September 2024.
The pair played a 45 minute set, captivating and entertaining the audience. They played a selection of tracks from their “Beyond Reverence” album and new songs from their latest E.P “Chapter & Verse”.
Taking away the studio production and opening up the songs in a stripped back style allowed the boys to demonstrate their music and song writing skills. Nick & Tim have been influenced, over the years, by Bauhaus, The Mission and The Cure.
Tracks like “Montag”, “30 Below” and “Missives From The Sisters” are well suited to their goth styling of mandolin and mandocello. When played alongside Nick’s range of vocal talent, this intrigued the audience.
Deadlight Dance are definitely worth looking out for. If they come to a venue near you then I highly recommend you go as you will not be disappointed. https://deadlightdance.bandcamp.com/
