Hailing from the North West of England I discovered my love of rock during my final school year 1969/70 when I discovered Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Gentle Giant, Hawkwind and King Crimson. During the mid-70’s as a student in Manchester, England I once booked Screaming Lord Sutch to play the college Fresher’s Ball and I have seen most of the greatest bands in their classic line-ups, including Bon Scott era AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the Sensational Alex Harvey band to name but a few.
I have always collected music, originally on LP but now on CD and I have a collection of over 3000 discs, most of what I play on my shows is taken straight from the shelves in the room I use as my studio.
To earn my daily bread I drive a 44 tonne articulated truck ( a cab-over “Semi” for friends in the USA) but now try to be home every night.
I try to get to as many gigs as i can and love discovering new bands (and letting people know about them and hear them on my shows) and I also do the odd bit of promotion, particularly with an annual event I put on called the Badass Bash to raise money for a Children’s Hospice charity.
“Keep rockin'” is my motto and I try to live up to it!
