The Quireboys return to the number 1 spot, this time with a cover of John Lee Hooker’s 1961 blues hit “Boom Boom”. The track is taken from their blues covers album “White Trash Blues”, due for release next week via Off Yer Rocka recordings.

Each week we will count down the top 20 songs on the station. This is calculated using a number of statistics and algorithms, not sales! Each time a song is played by a DJ through the week, it is recorded along with the number of people connected to the station at that moment in time (listeners). When a track is played more than once by DJ’s within the 7 day period, these stats are added to. A song that was played 5 times but at less busy times may not chart as high as a song played 3 times during peak times. These statistics are taken in real time over a 7 day period.
